We created the Cat & Duck Little Member Education Program to meet kids where they are and to grow with them over time.

Today, the program is focused on elementary-aged students, with different tools designed for different stages, including books for Pre-K through 2nd grade that introduce electric cooperatives, careers, and electric safety in a fun, age-appropriate way and, Zap Slap!, an interactive electric safety card game designed for upper elementary students.

When a child brings home a book or game, it becomes a shared experience. Parents or guardians read it or play it, learning alongside their child, and see their local cooperative taking an active role in education and safety. That shared moment builds trust, familiarity, and long-term goodwill.
 

Our vision doesn’t stop there! This program is designed to grow over time, with the goal of eventually spanning Pre-K through 12th grade, providing cooperatives with age-appropriate tools that evolve as students do, while reinforcing safety, awareness, and the cooperative difference at every stage.
