Cat & Duck and the Electric Cooperative
Join Cat and Duck as they go on an adventure to learn about electric cooperatives! When the power goes out at Cat and Duck's house, Cat gets scared, but Duck lets him know that their electric cooperative will have the power back on soon. When Cat says he doesn't know what an electric cooperative is, Duck takes Cat on a time-traveling adventure in their Anywhere and Everywhere Machine to learn about what cooperatives are, how they were formed, and their important role in powering our lives.

When Cat and Duck hop into the Anywhere and Everywhere Machine and travel inside a book about electric safety, they’re going to need YOUR HELP to stay out of danger! As you read along, you’ll spot some unsafe situations with electricity. Together with Cat and Duck, you’ll help fix these problems and make sure everyone learns the importance of electric safety!

Lineman Larry/Kilowatt Katie books. Creator of ZAP Slap!
Patrick is a member of the Communications team at Co-Mo Connect in Missouri. When he’s not busy spreading the good word about how amazing the cooperative is, he’s at home spending time with his wife and three kids.

Patrick loves to draw, so much so that he combined his passion for doodling with his love for the cooperative. The result? Books about the amazing world of electric co-ops and electric safety!

Baldus
Co-Creator of the Lineman Larry/Kilowatt Katie books.
Kelsie is a member of the Communications team at Co-Mo Connect in Missouri! She takes photos and shares all the exciting things happening at the cooperative! She also loves helping kids learn about what makes electric cooperatives so special!
When she’s not working, Kelsie enjoys gardening, growing flowers and veggies, and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks. She also has two playful mini Australian Shepherds named Winnie and Reno!

Jim is the editor emeritus of Rural Missouri magazine where he has served as the voice of Missouri’s electric cooperatives for 40 years. In his spare time he paddles the rivers of Missouri and hits the trails on a mountain bike named “Rocks Anne.” He’s documented the Missouri International Program with his trusty Nikon in Bolivia, Guatemala and Jamaica.
